The concrete materials area is designated for mixing of cementitious materials and casting of material test specimens. This area houses concrete mixers with varying yield capacities ranging from 8 qt. to 5.4 cubic ft. Additionally, two sieve shakers for gradation of coarse and fine aggregates, a vibrating table for consolidating cementitious materials after casting into forms, a concrete cylinder end grinder to prepare cylinders for compression testing, a masonry saw, and a flow table to measure the flowability of cementitious materials are available. Various other minor equipment for measuring the fresh properties of cementitious materials and molds of standard sizes for ASTM tests are also available.
